There are individuals and organizations that
collaborate voluntarily with INDESGUA. They do so via research,
building relationships with organizations, promotion of programs,
organization of events, and performing analysis of the
socioeconomic status of applicants, among other things.

policies related to higher education in Guatemala and
formulation of proposals to expand social participation.
INSTITUTIONAL POLICY OF
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
INDESGUA will
work to obtain scholarships and financial aid for students
interested in higher education. INDESGUA
will also look for resources to grant these kinds of opportunities
with internal funding.

b) Types of scholarships
and financial aid
Full Scholarship: non-refundable financial
aid to cover full tuition, room & board.
Tuition Scholarship: non-refundable financial
aid to cover full tuition.
Partial Scholarship: non-refundable financial
aid to cover a portion of tuition and/or living expenses.
Financial Aid: partial financing, which
provides the student or professional with a loan (refundable
financial aid at a preferential interest rate) allowing him/her
to continue their higher education.
Education Credit: partial financing, though
which the student or professional obtains a loan to continue
higher education for a maximum amount of time according to the
educational program and the meeting of other requisites.
c) Conditions for scholarships and education
credit
The scholarships and financial aid with our
own or administered funds will be annual and will be renewed
until the conclusion of the studies for which the aid was
originally intended, according to the agreement made between the
beneficiary and INDESGUA.
The scholarships and financial aid provided
or negotiated with educational institutions external to INDESGUA
will be governed by the norms and rules of the institutions that
awarded them.
For the negotiation and/or granting of
scholarships or financial aid by INDESGUA, its associates and/or
external educational institutions, it is essential that the
aspirant fulfills the requirements of admission at the
university, institution or educational program, for which he/she
needs help.

Our own funding from our associates and
sponsors in order to grant scholarships and/or financial aid.

Open – the sponsor provides INDESGUA with
funds to administer, according to our institutional needs
Oriented – the sponsor provides INDESGUA with
funds for an specific purpose (scholarship to a given university,
housing payments for an specific residence, complement costs of
a given program)
Direct – the sponsor provides funds directly
to a specific student recommended by INDESGUA
FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY OF
INDESGUA:
INDESGUA
defines as its financial sustainability policy the integration
of its own institutional resources as well as the negotiation of
complementary and collective financial support integrated
through:
Membership contributions of material and/or
work.
The resources deriving from the projects it
negotiates, administers, and/or executes.
Other support through donations, sponsorships,
inheritance, concessions, and legacies of people and
institutions interested in supporting the goals of
INDESGUA
